Important Notice on NVR v2.2 Service Pack 2 version[2.2.47] Installation
We improve the NVR
performance in the NVR SP2 , Enterprise Server version is 2.2.47 , Enterprise
Workstation version is 2.2.56 , and Professional version is 2.2.47.
For Enterprise Server
user , please upgrade the Enterprise Server 2.2.47 first , then upgrade the
Enterprise Workstation 2.2.56.
Besides , NVR SP 2 will
not support USB HDD or DVD-R/RW to be recording disk . If you already use it
for recording , NVR SP2 will not detect the USB HDD or DVD-R/RW disk , we are
apologetic for the inconvenience.
When you install NVR v2.2 on a PC, the
procedure is different in different conditions (according to Operating System
and if there’s any NVR currently installed). Please refer to below table
to find your condition and follow below instruction to install NVR.

(clicking uninstall in Control Panel -> Add/Remove Application ->
Software -> NVR v2.0)

NVR SP2 Enterprise Server 2.2.47 first , then install NVR SP2 Workstation 2.2.56
For Enterprise Workstation user

Restore database using BackupWizard (note that only camera setup table will be
restored.)

be manually deleted after an upgrade is made from Activator V1.3/1.4 to NVR
2.2. Or NVR 2.2 WON’T have enough hard drive capacity to record.

Notes on Windows Vista Environment
1.
NVR 2.2 series supports Windows Vista Business, Enterprise and Ultimate edition
2.
Please update all Windows Vista patches and hot-fixes before installing ACTi
NVR
3.
When installing NVR v2.2 series on Windows Vista environment, please use
following mechanisms to make sure the installation can complete successfully
a.
Login Windows Vista account needs to have Administrator rights
b.
If the account does not have UAC (User Account Control) disabled, NVR
Installation will disable it automatically.
Note
that this will require a reboot computer operation. After the computer come
back with UAC disabled, please start Autorun and
install NVR v2.2 again.
c.
Or turn off UAC(User Account Control) manually before
installation (Please refer to “Disable Windows Vista UAC” section
in Quick Installation Guide for details)
